Idris Azim's work spans the field of futures studies and public policy consulting. He has experience as both a consultant for government agencies developing their own socio-economic strategy, and as a public policy advisor for multinational companies, advising them on the Southeast Asian public policy landscape and potential emerging challenges to their businesses. Idris has carried out futures studies projects with several groups, including the Asia Development Bank, UNICEF, and Teach The Future (TTF). He focuses on promoting futures literacy throughout the Asia-Pacific region, especially with youth. His current area of interest of research is looking at emerging technologies such artificial intelligence through a postnormal times lens.
