Amani Abuzahra, a philosopher, public speaker, and author, is a researcher whose work bridges philosophy, futures studies, education, and social transformation. Her research focuses on recognition, Muslim futures, postnormal times, structural racism, diversity, and social justice. She read philosophy at the University of Vienna and was a postdoctoral researcher at the Interdisciplinary Research Center Islam and Muslims in Europe (IFIME) at Sigmund Freud Private University (SFU). She taught for many years at the University College of Teacher Education of Christian Churches Austria (KPH Vienna/Krems) and has also taught at the University of Vienna. She currently teaches at Carinthia University of Applied Sciences (FH Kärnten), with a particular focus on philosophy, interculturality, and diversity. Beyond academia, she advises public institutions, municipalities, and educational organisations on structural racism, diversity, and inclusion. She is a sought-after keynote speaker and regularly delivers lectures, workshops, and public talks at international conferences and academic institutions. Dr Abuzahra is the author and editor of numerous scholarly and public-facing publications, including the edited volume Muslim Futures (transcript Verlag), as well as several books on Muslim identity, recognition, and social justice.
